I think it's funny...

...that we are in the midst of what many natives to Arizona would call a "winter storm." It's funny because it just keeps on raining here in the valley. That's what it does here instead of snow. However, the high country is indeed getting buckets of snow that will deserve a delightful, almost giddy visit from me.

I welcome you, "Winter Storm." Even if I do find it a bit funny as we have rain and the mid-west is getting pounded with ice and snow... okay, that part not so funny. But you know what I mean, right? :)

Advent

The Advent season marks the beginning of the Church Year, and begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas. Advent means "coming" or "arrival" and refers to the First Advent of Jesus, the Messiah. The Advent season is observed as a time of prepartion, not only for Christmas, but also for the Second Advent of Jesus. This is a time of thankfulness and expectation, for we are those who "live between Advents."
